Welcome to the Global Natives/Spirit of Nature Website.

We are a group of people realizing a new and yet old way of life - inspired by the rainbow family and indigenous cultures around the world (global natives), we want to share community, live closer to nature, celebrate our own nature (spirit of nature), get more independent of money and fossil fuels (global warming!). Using, what comes from the land and what our own creativity and work makes possible.

We share Mt.Sonnos, a beautiful wild piece of land in the golden bay region, Aotearoa/NZ and invite you to experience this way of life with us - on short term (learning and healing events) or for longer. We are also working on a similar project in the alps region of europe, known as nuovo walser. We are non-commercial and work with community koha, which means sharing costs and work.

Looking for a place to be ?

Mt.Sonnos is a beautiful piece of land in Golden Bay. You can stay in our sleepout, caravan, in a tipi or in your own van, tent, etc. Short, medium and long term stays as well as wwoofing possible.

We are a community place with an alternative simple, close to nature lifestyle, buildings made from natural and recycled materials, tipi and yurts.
We are starting with organic gardening, permaculture, self-sufficiency, sheep and native NZ bush. Our dream is to establish an intentional community (with lots of individual space and freedom) based on mutual healing, spirituality and a simple, rainbow-style life close to nature, and are very open for your ideas and inspirations. To allow for the healing powers of nature, our place is drug- and smokefree.

Our spiritual background is based on the Hawaiian Huna philosophy and the spirit of nature, supported by a sustainable simple way of life close to nature and lots of love :-).

The land has the size of 7 ha in milnthorpe, 30 km to takaka, on a hill close to the beach, a river and a park. Currently, there are 4 people living on this land. We are open for visitors, wwoofers and people who would like to live with us and our land on a longer term basis. Click on “how to contact us” if you want to come around.
